REsponse to Wiki Article

I read a few of the articles, and enjoyed The Way of the Wiki for its upbeat assessment of the tool's potential and uses in education. It stresses the interactive nature of a wiki, and how classroom walls disappear as studenrts from other continents are invited to join. For the global community this is important, yet one should not forget how tech skills - as all resources - are not equitably distributed and until they are, the global classroom concept will be a pleasing myth as opposed to a meaningful reality.

  1. I think you made a really interesting point about how global connections are important but may be challenged due to resources or lack there of.

  2. I completely agree with the fact that we need to remember that not all students have access to all of these resources. It is important to remember that even in a community like Needham we can't and shouldn't assume that all students have access to these technologies at home.
